STX also has a new partnership with the 7-time world champion USA Field Hockey team. “STX’s brand awareness has grown a lot, but we were looking for a way to tie our brand to the USA field hockey team. We want to raise our brand’s cache and give the perspective of being an elite brand.” Cross promoting with USA’s elite Field Hockey team seemed like the perfect idea.

Carrie ordered 1,000 USA Red, White, and Blue STX hair ties to give away at the PanAm tournament. While she used to give out pens and flyers, Carrie decided to use our hair ties this time because in the US market, field hockey is primarily female and hair ties seemed more functional. She was right. The team USA players loved both how cute the hair ties were as well as how practical they were. Whether it’s holding up their hair or worn around their wrists, the USA field hockey players were proudly wearing STX branded hair ties at this major tournament.

The Girl Scouts Heart of Central New Jersey is one of twelve major Girl Scout groups across the country. Holly Brandes, the head of the Girl Scout’s marketing team, was looking for a fun, new, promotional product for regularly held recruitment events.

This year, around 8,000 scouts and 10,000 adults are expected to participate in Girl Scout events. Of all the promotional items Holly tried, including brochures, flyers, pencils, pens and knick knacks, our hair ties literally have “staying power” in terms of brand recognition. The girls put them on and never take them off! This was the recruitment staff’s first time trying out branded hair ties as a giveaway and they ran out in just one event. Holly immediately placed a reorder right before Memorial Day.

Holly’s main concern about her order was a quick turn around time. Emily Bajalia is the president of the Panhellenic Association of the University of Miami, the governing body of all eight sorority chapters on campus. Since the Panhellenic Association is comprised of only sororities, Emily was looking for a giveaway that would appeal to women, and help publicize her association at their major recruitment event.

Emily had previously tried branded stickers, pens, and even fanny packs to help her recruitment efforts but our elastic hair ties were the most popular giveaway at their major recruitment event. The hair ties did so well, Emily intends to use our hair ties for all panhellenic events throughout the rest of the semester.

Video Blogger Shayla Hoheisel Found a Creative Way to Use Custom Hair Bands to Promote Her Brand and YouTube Channel


Shayla Hoheisel is a video blogger from the YouTube channel “Living on a One Way”, where she chronicles her travels and adventures across the world. Shayla is constantly trying to grow her social media presence to bring traffic to her YouTube channel. She often makes connections with people in remote parts of the world where there is limited cell service, so she uses business cards to share her social media information. Atlantic Therapeutic and Sports Has Found Perfect Way to Meet a Need and Promote Their Brand with Custom Hair Bands


Jennifer Escarcega is a chiropractor at Atlantic Therapeutic and Sports (ATS) Massage, the only sports massage practice in Wilmington, North Carolina. They specialize in the therapeutic sports massage,unlike other massage offices that specialize in Swedish massage or are more of a spa. ATS sees many athletes at their offices, both professional and amateur, as well as crossfitters, firefighters, police officers, and active duty military.

Jennifer sent us over her design and we created a proof with ATS’ Om logo.

“They look fantastic,” says Jennifer, “we’re killing two birds with one stone” by having hair ties for their customers and advertising ATS by having their website address on the hair ties. “No regrets, they came out fantastic, the printing was wonderful, the colors… it looks perfect!”. Customers always keep their complimentary hair times, according to Jennifer, and they end up wearing their hair ties home.

Currently, Jennifer is distributing the hair ties for free at the ATS front desk. The response has been overwhelming from both clients and her staff. She’s even heard of men wearing the hair ties as wristbands. Jennifer is planning on ordering more hair ties to take out to events in the community. Circa 79 Salon Finds Success in First Marketing Attempt Using Custom Hair Bands


Circa 79 is a hair salon based out of Tuscon, Arizona. It’s a family owned business founded in 1979, hence the name, Circa 79. The salon has 15 employees but has been growing, and they recently relocated to a larger space. Courtney Constantino, Circa 79’s manager, was looking for a way to advertise her business in a fresh, engaging way.

When asked why she chose us, Courtney simply replied, “You guys were the first to get back to me.” She did her due diligence shopping around, but was impressed by our timely response. Also, our competitive pricing was all Courtney needed to move forward with her order.

Rachel has always looked for something unique and memorable to give away as a promotional item. “You're always kind of looking for something different. Everybody did lip balm one year and I did different colors of lipgloss and you could pick whatever color you wanted. I saw someone do a little package of tissues which is cute.” But Rachel had never seen any other writers bring custom hair bands to conventions and signings. “When you have to ship or carry many boxes of paperbacks, the last thing you want to take is another heavy box of swag or giveaways. Hawaii Yoga Festival Has Found Awesome Way to Use
Custom Hair Ties as Entry Wristbands


Wendy is the marketing manager for the Kalani Honua Retreat Center located in Pāhoa, Hawaii. The Kalani Honua Retreat Center hosts events all year around including the center’s own annual Hawaii Yoga Festival.

She ordered elastic bands again this year to be used as entry wristbands for this year’s yoga festival. Their main concern with the disposable wristbands they used previously, was the large amount of waste they created. Wendy needed a greener option and she decided on elastic hair ties.


“They’re awesome! Everyone here loves them. Universally. We get really great reactions!”


What drew Wendy to our company was our instagram account. According to Wendy, “you had a bunch of examples on your instagram which I could show to my coworkers that brought up the idea of elastic bands.” She and her coworkers moved quickly to send us a design and order bands for their festival.

Hain Celestial Promotes Live Clean Brand Using
Custom Hair Ties at Austin City Limits


Roseann is the Marketing and Brand Ambassador at Hain Celestial, the largest natural organic food and healthcare company in the world. She was looking to increase brand awareness for “Live Clean,” a health food brand under the Hain Celestial umbrella, at this year’s Austin City Limits festival. The hair ties were part of a hair braiding station, manned by Live Clean brand ambassadors, using their customized hair ties as giveaways.

There were a few options when it came down to placing her order, but Roseann mentioned specifically that she chose us because she liked our short turn around time and willingness to work with her “crazy schedule.” We were working with Roseann every step of the her order, from design to fulfillment.
